[Wow, God gave me quite a nugget to chew on today. So I'm sharing it with you.]
Many believers simply do not know God in any kind of personal, ongoing, intimate relationship. So in the deepest part of our heart what do we perceive God to be like?.......our mental image of God?
Sometimes we imagine things about God and act as if they were true, when in fact our thinking isn't right. If our view of God is not right nothing can ultimately be right in our lives. To live in the real world, God must be central in our thoughts. We must recognize Him in the light of His Word......."For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence." --Colossians 1:16-18

[What we perceive of God is revealed in our ideas of God through what we say, but not only that but in what is not said. It is also revealed in our actions and witness concerning God or the lack thereof.]
